The NCPSL comes under the Ministry of H.R.D., Dept. of Education was established in 1994 for implementing the schemes connected with the Development and Propagation of Sindhi Language. Its Head Office is at Vadodara.

It is a link among the Voluntary Sindhi Organizations, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Dept. of Education, Shastri bhavan, New Delhi - 110 001., State Government, the various Sindhi Academies, and Educational Institutions and Universities etc.

Co-ordination of activities of the various Voluntary Sindhi Organizations.

To advise, guide and apprise the Voluntary Sindhi Organizations as to how and when to apply of Grant-in-Aid for Promotion of Sindhi. Such of those Sindhi Institutions who are registered under the societies Act and are in existence for more than Three years in the propagation of Sindhi(L) with assets worth Rs. 25000/- and with their accounts audited for the proceeding three years by C.A. are eligible to apply for grants for schemes shown in the application form which is available in this office.

Various Committees are consulted and their meetings are convened to assess and recommend the applications of the Voluntary Sindhi Organizations for financial assistance for promotion of Sindhi Language.

To keep constant touch with all the Voluntary Sindhi Organizations and especially with those Institutions who are getting grants from the Council/Ministry by asking for quarterly progress reports on the implementation of the approved programmes with a view to know the progress and may give such directions as are found necessary for proper implementation of the schemes.

Institutions getting grant are inspected by the council and reports are Submitted to the Ministry/as per requirement placed before the Council and Executive Board. Besides this whenever a new Institution applies for grant, the same is inspected and a report submitted to the concerned committee on its

To enquire promptly into the complaints received from the public against the Voluntary Sindhi Organizations and to redress the grievance of the public.

□

To maintain the standard secrecy of the examination(s) conducted by the Voluntary Sindhi Organization, if any, recognized/funded by the Council.

□

To create linguistic harmony through Voluntary Sindhi Organizations as per requirements of the composite culture of India.

Workshop for Sindhi writers of various areas. who are in the field of creative writing of poetry, drama, fiction etc. Besides the above, the Council Plans to conduct Courses and Diploma Course etc. Wide Publicity to the Programmes is given. Assistance and active participation for conduct of Workshop/Seminar/Personal contact Programme by the Council is given by this Office. Applications for participation in the extension Programmes publication Awards etc. are also supplied by this Office. Grievances of various types, received from participates etc. are redressed timely.

The council plans to bring out many publications in Sindhi and audio aids, dictionaries in Regional Languages into Sindhi and vice versa and Technical Terminology in humanities science/scientific subjects. Information regarding these publications shall be available at the aforesaid address.

NCPSL will keep constant touch with the management of the Voluntary Sindhi Organization, Sindhi Pracharaks/teachers in order to know their grievances and difficulties in the propagation of Sindhi(L) and guidance will be given through lectures on teaching of Sindhi as a modern Language and Official Language from time to time.

To keep the constant liaison with the State governments and governments - Sindhi - Academies.

□

To attend Seminars and Conferences Organised by various Dept. Voluntary Sindhi Organizations and Universities etc.

□

To attend meetings of the various Samithi/Board of examiners / Syllabus etc., of the Voluntary Sindhi Organisations.

□

Approval for the purchase of Sindhi Books by the Voluntary Sindhi Organisations with the financial assistance of council, if any, is accorded by this office.

□

All the activities connected with the Promotion of Sindhi Language to strengthen the composite Culture of India by that, are encouraged.

□

To take efforts to establish a computerized information centre connected with the development of the Sindhi Language.
