Under PMUY The Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala scheme free gas connection is provided by the Government of India to women APL, BPL, and Ration cardholders of the country. The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 1, 2016.
The first condition for applying to the Ujjawala scheme is that the applicant should be a woman. The age of the applicant woman should be at least 18 years. Only then will he be able to take advantage of this scheme. Within 1 year of its launch, 9 crores of LED bulbs were sold in the country, reducing their electricity bills by ₹55 billion (US$820 million).
To take advantage of the scheme, first, go to the official website pmujjwalayojana.com. The download form option will appear in front of you here. Download it. Now fill in all the information requested in the form. After this, the form has to be submitted to LPG Center. Also, submit relevant documents there. When submitting the form, you have to specify whether you want a 14.2 kg cylinder or a 5 kg cylinder. After checking the documents, you will get an LPG connection.
